Holy Produce Batman!
We recently joined a produce co-op. I cannot even tell you how much we are enjoying it. The produce is the best.... freshest I have ever had.
In our never ending attempt to eat healthier, this has been truly a blessing. We really want to teach our children healthy eating habbits in this "McNugget" generation. Don't get me wrong. We enjoy the occassional Mc's around here, but we are really striving to instill a love of God's natural given foods in our children.
When a friend of mine mentioned starting a co-op I jumped at the chance to be apart of it. We have greatly missed the farmer's market we used to shop at in Paradise.
Check out our latest stash.

The best part of the co-op is we got all of this for $65.00! It would cost us so much more to buy all of this in the food store.
The avacodos alone are a steal - here is what we got for $65.00
organes: $3.60 @17
tomatoes: $4.60 @ 8 lbs
broccolli: $3.00 @ 4lbs
bananas: $3.21 @ 6.66 lb
avacado: $7.34 @ 15 lbs.
onions: $4.07 @ 12.5 lbs
potatos: $3.06 @ 15 ct
spinach: $10 @ 2 bags
red apples: $12.87 @ 50 ct.
asparagus: $6.75 @ 2.75 lbs
cabbage: $3.80 @ 16 lbs.
carrots $4.47 @ 16 lbs.
Plus no shopping trip. I simply place my order and pick it up at my friend's house. Thanks Angela for making this all possible! We are loving it!
And the carrots..... they are enormous!
One of them was almost as big as Kai!
Now I am trying to come up with all kinds of recipes to use our produce. It really won't last long in this house though. Thankfully, all of our kids love fruits and veggies.
