Despite my every effort

Mothering
You may remember last year when I asked for some advice on getting all of the winter stuff organized.
Well despite my every effort to keep things in order, my front door still looks like this.
The coats still get piled on top of one another on the hooks. Which was meant for a place for guests to hang their coats and hats.
The hats and scarves get shoved in the baskets and spill out onto the floor.
And the shoes remain in piles next to the door.

It doesn't seem to matter that I worked so hard to hang hooks, and line up baskets for all of their things in the garage. No. They still can't make the extra effort to put their things where they belong. The Rockstar included.
So what is this Mama to do?
Do you nag the heck out of them?
Yell?
Beg?
Bribe?
Or do you just give up?
How do you get your family to put their things away? Is there some secret?
Is there a supplement I could buy that would help them to "remember"? Because if one existed I would buy stock in it. I would make them take it every day. Heck I would even have them bathe in it.
It really doesn't seem to matter what I do. They just won't comply.
So , I am giving up.
Some battles just aren't worth fighting.
